Brianna and Josh were married on June 20th, with a ceremony and reception at St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT.
It was an overcast, rainy day, but right from the beginning, it was clear that wasn’t going to dampen the high-flying spirits of the bride and groom or their wedding party! Before the ceremony, the guys decided to do something a little different by going to a barbershop club (Kennedy’s in West Hartford, CT ). My second shooter, Seshu Badrinath , got some wonderful image of them playing pool and getting primped and pampered. Not to be outdone, the ladies had a cocktail party of their own in their suite as they got ready!
It was an emotional day for many reasons for this group, and the touching ceremony brought a tear to many eyes. Truly, it was a special day, and the feeling in the group was unforgettable.
My favorite image of the night came as Josh flung the rose in the air during their grand entrance to the reception. To me, that moment was a symbol of their resilience to make their day a true celebration.
The best man speech was also a touching moment, and it commemorated the day for Brianna and Josh as well as all their friends and family in attendance.
Perhaps my favorite moment, though, was their first dance. It’s always special when the bride and groom have their first dance, but this one was truly memorable.
Brianna & Josh, it was an honor to be a part of your wedding. It was a really special day—one that I will never forget. Cheers to you both, and many blessings on your future life together.
